Creating A Plateform Game

  1. First I Have to go on Game Maker and Create my Own Little Player.

  2. Then I Have to go and create A room, with any type of back ground that I choose.

  3. Then I Must Get A Block or Some type of different color that makes a plateform for my player to walk on (Solid).

  4. After we Must create an object for the player we just made, so that our player will move the correct ways, in the room.
  • Left Keyboard event, (Relative) place the correct postion, (-4,0)
  • Add Riqht Event Key.
  • Set To Relative Also.
  1. Set The Gravity In Correct Position.
  • Gravity Set To (270 Downwards) & Value is 0.5.
  • Jump to Given Position
  • Check Self
  1. Add Collison With The Plateform
  • Set Vertical Speed to (0)
  • Move to Contact Plateform
  • Maximum is 1
  • & It Goes Aqainst Solid Objects
  • Also Check Self

  1. We Have A problem, our character will not move as long as the previous step is active so now, we have to change the set of the gravity, to where it only acts when we are not on the plateform.

  • Check (y) 1 Pixel
  • Make sure it is Collision Free
  • Check Self
  • Make (x) 0
  • Object are ONLY SOLID
  • Check Relative

NOW YOUR ARE DONE & YOUR PLAYER SHOULD MOVE ACCORDING TO PLAN !!!!!!!!!!
